“Alas! A new update” you say? It definitely has been a busy few months, with exams, holiday festivities, etc etc etc. But now that we are nestled in the comfort (?) of a new semester, you can be assured that ACCO will be bringing on some awesome activities in the next few months! Topic of the week: Asian Parents
This video pretty much sums up my relationship with my parents during adolescence 
What are your insights? Do the relationships with our parents mould our identities as “Asian-Canadians”? While there are exceptions to every generalization, Asian parenting (to me) usually entails emphasis on: family values, pursuit of good education (often within the confines of “doctor/lawyer/engineer/accountant”), the importance of working hard, learning to play a musical instrument, and so on. How does our Asian family-relations affect our outlook on life within the Canadian society?
